Our Story
The story of Wookee began in the summer of 2024. It all started with a birthday — our designer Jenny’s, to be exact.
Jenny adores her cat, Ellen, a little feline she adopted when she first moved to the U.S. Ellen isn’t just a pet; she’s family. Knowing Jenny’s two biggest loves, Ellen and photography — we decided to surprise her with something truly one-of-a-kind: a custom hot shoe cover engraved with Ellen’s face. She absolutely loved it. So did all her photographer friends.
Soon, they were asking for their own personalized hot shoe covers.Some engraved their beloved dogs and cats. Others chose partners, family members, or even their proudest photography work. That heartfelt response sparked something in us and Wookee was born: a brand dedicated to helping photographers personalize their gear. We believe every photographer has a unique taste, and deserves a camera that matches their vibe.
